Welcome to catalfo.com, the official site of award-winning screenwriter,
producer, director, actor and attorney Alfred Thomas Catalfo.

ATC's feature film script Vulture's Row, an adaptation of the novel Betrayed by Brendan DuBois, is the Grand Prize Winner of the Rhode Island International Film Festival Screenplay Competition, and a Top 20 Finalist out of more than 2,500 submissions in the Slamdance Film Festival Screenplay Competition.  An international panel of film industry professionals selected Catalfo's screenplay as the RIFF winning script based on character, dialogue, originality, innovation, setting, plot and technique.  The RIIFF Screenplay Competition received a record number of entries from the United States and across the globe.  In the official announcement, Dr. J. Scott Oberacker, RIIFF Educational Outreach Director, said, "This is an exceptional screenplay. Reading it, you can literally envision the actual film on the screen."  The award was presented at the RIIFF opening night gala.

In 2013, the award-winning short film Rocketship, written and directed by ATC, was an Official Selection of the Mill Valley Film Festival sponsored by the California Film Institute, LA Shorts Fest, Cleveland International Film Festival, Boston Film Festival, Louisville's International Festival of Films, Rhode Island International Film Festival, Northampton International Film Festival, New Hampshire Film Festival and SNOB Film Festival.

Rocketship was named one of the 20 Must See Films at the 37th Cleveland International Film Festival, Ohio's premier film event, out of the 345 films (180 features and 165 shorts) screened over twelve days.  The CIFF review said "It's magical.  It's epic.  The little boy who plays the lead is fantastic."  The Rocketship screening was sold out.  More than 93,000 people attended the festival.
